Nikki, a chihuahua mix puppy, is one of 3 siblings that were rescued just before being dumped to die in a remote area.  Nikki and her 2 sisters were found with huge ticks all over their little bodies that had been sucking their blood. 

They've now been treated and cleaned up from those bloodsuckers.  They've also received their first vaccines, been given healthy food, and are now safe.

Nikki is only 8 weeks old and weighs 7 pounds.

She is a bit fearful right now which is probably a result of the treatment of her former owner; but now that she is safe and is receiving loving attention from her foster, we expect her to be okay soon.

• Personality: a bit fearful but we believe that will change soon now that she is safe
• Good with: people, and dogs.  Has not been around young children or cat tested yet.
• Training: unknown at this time
• Estimated date of birth: July 2025
• Weight: 7 pounds (as of 9/23/25)
• Medical: receiving puppy vaccinations, microchipped
• Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.
