Willow is a small, 22 pound, approximately one year old female.  We aren't too sure of her mix.  She was pulled from a kill shelter just in the knick of time.  Unfortunately once we got her to a vet we found out that she was heartworm positive so she has had to stay in Texas while undergoing treatment.  Happily, she has completed her treatment and is ready to find her forever home.

Willow gets along great with humans and cats, with dogs she's usually great, but can sometimes bark at them out of the blue.

She loves to be around people and cuddle.  She's super snuggly and has a very soft coat.  She is potty trained and also knows how to use pee pads.  She's also crate trained (show her a treat and she runs right in).  Her foster will leave her out of the crate at night but will have her go in it when she leaves the house.  When Willow is outside she will come when called and she's also mastered the sit command.  She's a calm dog, except for the occasional and typical doggie spurts of zoomies, and she's not much of a barker.  She likes to play with toys and loves to chew on hard bones.

  • Personality: playful, affectionate, calm, likes to cuddle, not much of a barker
  • Good with: people (has not been around kids yet) and cats.
  • Training: housebroken, crate trained, comes when called, knows "sit"
  • Estimated date of birth: July 2024
  • Weight: 22 pounds
  • Medical: vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped
  • Location: Currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.
