Meet Loki our new pug mix  and actually he's not totally new, as he's been staying in a foster home in Texas while he underwent heartworm treatments and spent time healing his back leg.  Loki came to us as an owner surrender.  He spent his life chained to a tree, but he was a smart little guy and kept finding a way out of his collar and running off (who can blame him).  Somewhere along the way he hurt his back paw.  Once the owner surrendered him to us, we got him looked at by a vet.  They said, his back paw injury was due to pulled tendons and it's the type of injury that just takes some time to heal.  Now, after spending time in recovery, he's already walking normal, his heartworm treatment is completed, and the last step is to find this happy boy his forever family. 

Loki is a small-sized male with a beautiful bushy, curly tail.  He's approximately 2 years old and weighs 30 pounds.  He is a very happy dog who loves to sit in your lap.  He gets along well with other dogs and likes to play.  He's very friendly and you'd never guess that he had an abusive past owner.

• Location: Loki will be arriving to NJ on our Oct 11th transport and will be staying with a foster in NJ.  If you are approved to adopt, he will be available for a meet and greet after he arrives.
