About Tiger

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
Tiger. He is a loving wonderful dog .. he will require a few visits to build trust maybe because of his background that was not the best. He came from a home we believe he was abused. He is a wonderful dog and will literally lay on top of your lap and let you pet him for hours. It seems at times he can actually read your mind. He also loves the baby pool if you have one. From the volunteer who loves him and trying to make his life in the shelter as good as possible - "I can pet him anywhere even touch his toes because we have built such a trust and bond. He is approximately 8 to 9 years old and he gets along with some dogs but we would prefer him to go to a home as the only pet. Because we are not sure how he would react. When I take him for long walks he likes to stop and roll around in the grass and let me pet his belly. He loves to be close. He’s gentle when he takes treats, he walks great on the leash, we pass feral cats and he doesn’t even pay attention. We’ve encountered a flock of geese and he wasn’t even startled. He is reactive behind a fence at the shelter, and he is reactive when he is in his kennel if he doesn’t know you. He lets me snuggle him, take treats from his mouth, brush him, kiss him, play with his toes, touch his tail, basically once he builds trust and a bond he is absolutely wonderful." Because of his size, he should be in a home without young kids. A fenced backyard is a big plus as he loves chilling outside and enjoying the sun after his walks. Experienced owner.
