About Umya

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
Umya is a **Blue lacy girl, about 6 months old, and weighs about 24 pounds. We Believe momma was a small Blue Lacy, but we can't guarantee the breed. If you don't know this breed, we added a few facts to this post below. Umya, with her entire litter, was dumped with no food or water in 110-degree weather in the hot south. Thankfully they were found and were fostered until they arrived in NJ. Here is the latest update from Umya foster: She is comfortable lying on the couch alone or hanging with the pack and playing. She has been around dogs bigger than her and smaller than her and has shown no signs of aggression. She has been around my 19-month-old, and she was a complete angel. Umya is a love bug. She enjoys snuggling on the couch or running around with the other dogs. She would be good in a home where she is the only dog but also gets along with our dogs just fine. She sleeps all night in her crate with no problem, but if someone wanted a bed snuggler, she would be perfect. Her personality is really coming out, and she is becoming an awesome dog and being the puppy she never really had a chance to be. She is about 95% housebroken with no accidents in a couple of days, and she's now going to the door alone when she needs to go out. When I am at my desk working, she loves to come and visit, put her head on my lap, or just lay in the bed next to my chair. She is a sweetheart. Umya enjoys playing with the other dogs. She is a clever girl. She is a love bug and very friendly. Currently fostered in NJ. **Did you know - The Blue Lacy, also called the Lacy Dog, is an energetic, intelligent, and trainable breed that loves having a job to do and a lot of open space to run around.
