Savvy is a super sweet 11-month-old lab mix pup being fostered in central NJ. She is 40 pounds and petite. Although Savvy is shy and timid at first (we suspect abuse as a young puppy), her past doesn’t stop her from being an absolute sweetheart. Her foster parents think she would be great in any home (from a single person to a large family with young kids). Savvy is currently in a home with no other dogs (and she’s perfectly happy), but she would also do well with a four-legged sibling. Savvy has met several dogs of all sizes and she plays well with all (but we still encourage a meet and greet). A yard would be nice, but it’s unnecessary as she loves to nap on her bed or in the crate between intense chew sessions with her toys. Although the crate is Savvy’s safe space, she also likes to check on her humans several times a day to show some love. During the day, she often hangs out on the patio to quietly watch squirrels and people walking by, but at night, she enjoys snuggling in your lap and gives plenty of kisses before bed. Training: House-trained Crate-trained Not destructive (e.g. furniture, shoes) Commands: Sit (patiently waits even if the door is open until you say “okay”) Come Crate Working on: Reacting to squirrels, cats, and deer on walks. She’s doing well!
