Chocolate Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (not spayed) : : Young : : Medium
Update 6/2/25:
Charlotte went to the vet where she was checked out, vaccinated, and heartworm tested (which came back negative). The vet said she is about 2 years old and she currently weighs 48 pounds. Thanks to our rescue partner's loving care, she has recuperated from the heat stroke. She is a very sweet girl who is good with everyone she meets. Please help us find Charlotte a home so she won't have to stay tied outside in the Texas heat this summer.
Update 6/1/25:
Please pray for Charlotte!!
We received a call just as we posted Charlotte on Facebook trying to find her a home. She is not doing well right now. The Texas heat got to her (she's still with her owner and tied up outside in the sun) and she is currently suffering from heat stroke. Since it's a Sunday and she is in rural Texas there are no vets or emergency vets open in the area. One of our rescue partners has begun to give her pedialyte every 10 minutes to try to stabilize her until she can take her to the vet tomorrow morning.
If she pulls through it is critical that she leaves her current place and finds a forever family to meet ASAP. Her owner has agreed to surrender her, but only if we are able to find her a new home.
Original Post: Imagine spending your entire life tied up outside. Unfortunately, that is the reality for young Charlotte. She’s a chocolate lab mix who weighs about 48 pounds and is on the taller side. She is very friendly. Charlotte will be arriving to the NJ area on 6/14 to stay with a temporary local foster. If approved to adopt you can schedule a meet and greet .
