URGENT - In Texas shelter and will be killed next Friday (2/15) unless an adopter is found. This poor girl named Donna has spent almost her entire life in a shelter. She will be 2 years old as of 2/21 but unless an adopter is found she will not live to see her second birthday, nor get to experience life outside of 4 wire walls and a cement floor. She is good with other dogs and with kids (she has not been cat tested but they are trying to set that up). One of our Texas rescue partners has taken her 6 and 8 year old children to visit her and she doesn’t react to them. She will greet them with a quick jump to receive pets but then settle in. The rescue partner has also taken her dogs over there to play with her and she does well with them. She is described as being very active and high energy, but with being in a shelter for her entire life, she gets tired quickly and will lay down and rest. She loves to run and splash around in water. She weighs approximately 45-50 pounds, and shelter’s breed guess is a lab mix. Please consider adopting Donna and saving her life. If you can’t adopt, please share her story quickly in hopes she finds a home. Friends for Life is offering a reduced adoption fee for her. Again, she needs an adopter by Friday or she will be euthanized. If adopted, we will arrange for her vetting and transportation to the NJ area.
